Tradesman BC is a professional association dedicated to supporting and empowering tradespeople and builders across British Columbia. Our goal is to provide accessible education, promote professional development, and strengthen connections within the construction industry.
We understand that knowledge, communication, and access to resources are critical for success in the trades. Tradesman BC works to bridge gaps within the industry by connecting tradespeople, builders, suppliers, and service providers through education, events, and community initiatives.
With a commitment to innovation, trust, and inclusivity, we aim to elevate standards in the construction field while serving as a reliable resource, advocate, and guide for trades professionals throughout the province.
Our Story
Tradesman BC was founded in 2016 with a simple but important goal: to make construction education more accessible to tradespeople in the community.
The organization began by offering builder and trades training courses in Punjabi, ensuring that individuals could clearly understand the technical knowledge and safety requirements necessary to work confidently and responsibly in the construction industry.
As the community grew, so did the vision.
In 2016, Tradesman BC launched the Construction Expo, creating a platform that connects suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers directly with the tradespeople and builders who use their products every day. The expo has since become an important space for networking, learning, and discovering new innovations in the construction industry.
Continuing this commitment to supporting and recognizing excellence in the trades, Tradesman BC introduced the South Asian Construction Excellence (SACE) Awards in 2023. The awards celebrate outstanding achievements, leadership, and contributions within the construction industry, highlighting individuals and businesses who set a high standard for professionalism and innovation.
From education to industry events and recognition programs, Tradesman BC continues to grow as a hub for knowledge, connection, and advancement within the construction community.
